This would depend on your horses situation. If your horse or pony is clipped and working during winter a rug would be essential to keep them warm when not being worked either in the field or in the stable. We stock a wide range of sizes and weights of rug to suit all situations whether you require a no fill waterproof rug for protection from the rain or a heavyweight rug with a full neck for the coldest and wettest of winter days, our knowledgeable staff in store will set you on the right path. In summer a fly rug can be very useful to protect your horse or pony from biting insects and some fly rugs also offer protection against UV rays. If you horse is not clipped but is struggling to maintain weight during the winter months a turnout medium weight rug can be just the ticket to save them using that vital energy they need just to keep warm.
