This is predominantly a cat-based charity. Taking in unwanted and stray cats and kittens. Founded in 1986. Just like all charities they solely rely on donations made from the public. You can find them on Facebook where they regularly post pictures and information on cats available for adoption or in need of help.
Penny Jones Animal Hospice
This wonderful charity was set up to care for abandoned and unloved animals in 2006. There can be anything from Dogs to Pigs to even Donkeys. Many of whom have been found neglected, their owners may have passed away or even become too unwell to care for them any longer. The hospice is purely run on donations which help to pay for medical care, food and shelter.

Forever Friends Small Animal Sanctuary
From Rats to Rabbits, Guinea Pigs to Degus’ Forever Friends rescues them all. This is a small animal sanctuary based in Maryport who care for all sorts of little furry animals and have even known to care for reptiles as well. Donations are always welcome, as you can only imagine, they go through quite a lot of bedding. They can be found through Facebook.
