How do I treat my hens for mites?
Mites are a tricky problem to tackle, so it is advisable to regularly check for signs of red mite before the problem takes hold. If you know you have mites, first thoroughly clean out your coop, removing all bedding and all other matter, after which you can use a mite killing solution to treat all the surfaces. You can then lay fresh bedding and apply a mite powder to help prevent the problem recurring. We stock a range of mite killing products to help keep your coup mite free and your chickens happy!
